Why “Every Other Shot”?

When I first started using a Canon DSLR it seemed only every other shot was in focus, hence the nickname. Of course the problem was always the photographer, not the camera. But still, the name stuck! Now I have multiple EOS bodies and lenses, and this is my blog about them.
